The world is expanding every day and night. And it is a general incident. But recently, the Hubble telescope noticed that Universe is not growing at a uniform rate, which is shocking. Meanwhile, the Hubble telescope was sent for this mission to determine the expansion of the Universe.
The history behind the Hubble Space Telescope
There are few telescopes in space, and a Hubble telescope is one of them to determine interstellar information. In 1990, From Kennedy Launch Center, Hubble Telescope was launched. It was named in honor of Edwin Hubble, a respected American astronomer of the early twentieth century. The telescope has made significant observations about interstellar objects, including a space-based observatory and a comet crashing into the moon and Jupiter around Pluto. The telescope has been in operation for over thirty years now. A few days ago, the Hubble Telescope discovered the farthest star from Earth. It took 1290 million years for light to come to Earth from this star.
Angel Wing!!
According to NASA, the Hubble Space Telescope VV-689 recorded a stunning image of the two galaxies merging into the system. And it seems there could be a collision between two galaxies named the ‘Angel Wing.’ This collision between two galaxies is almost symmetrical, so the wings are very similar to each other.
How does it work?
The Hubble telescope rotates the Earth with a speed of 4 kilometers per second. And it takes around 96 minutes to revolve around the Earth. To understand that it will take approximately 10 minutes to orbit the United States once. While rotating, the telescope captures lights through the telescope’s mirror and then transmits them to the following instrument electrically. There are various devices in the telescope which are used for multiple tasks. Like as first, the light hits the primary mirror, and the next mirror inhibits the light and sends it to another device through a hole electrically.
How do we get that information?
That captured information comes as radio frequency tuning an antenna. Then engineers get that information by communicating with the telescope through satellite, which gives various kinds of instructions. And there two main high functioned computer are set up. One conducts instructions, and the other collects and transmits information. In other words, the activities of this telescope are conducted by enormous mechanical coordination and human resources.
Significance of Hubble Telescope with Nasa’s future plan
Scientists have visited the Hubble telescope several times. In 2009 they revisited the Hubble for the fifth time. And they installed high functioned cameras and other types of equipment. In 2020 Hubble telescope has completed 30 years in space, but it is still capable enough to capture an amazing picture of the interstellar. However, NASA plans to Launch another telescope that is more powerful than the Hubble telescope named the James Tedd telescope. After launching Tedd, it was still unknown what would be Hubble’s post in space, But Hubble helped the astronauts gather more information about the Universe. And to know the Universe’s form very closely is a significant milestone for all of us.
